Here's The Most Popular Super Bowl Food In North Carolina

It's nearly time for Super Bowl LV and whether you're here for the game or just the commercials, the real star of the day is the food. From chips and dip to deep fried chicken wings, there is no shortage of delicious Game Day fare.

When it comes to deciding what to eat on the day of the Big Game, there are many options to choose from. To help narrow down what will be a hit on Game Day, Google released data on the most-searched food items in each state. The data further breaks down into five classifications: main dish, side dish, appetizer, dip, and dessert.

While it's so surprise that dips were the main go-to item, some other popular items include chili, tacos, and even charcuterie boards. Though a popular Game Day staple, chicken wings were the most searched item for only three states: Florida, Michigan and Maryland.

So what is North Carolina's most searched for Game Day food?

Pigs in a Blanket!

North Carolina is the only state that seems to be craving pig in a blanket above every other food for Game Day. Surrounding states offer a variety of different options that may also be a hit at any party, including meatball, chili, Korean BBQ, and charcuterie boards.
