Marshawn Lynch Hands Out More Than 200 Turkeys In Hawaii For Thanksgiving

Super Bowl winner Marshawn Lynch is making sure that he does his part to give back during the holiday season. This week, Lynch was out and about in Hawaii giving out 200 turkeys for Thanksgiving. Through his Fam 1st Family Foundation, Lynch partnered with Young’s Fish Market, Tamura Super Market and Barefoot League Hawaii to put together the turkey drive. He was also assisted by former NFL wide receiver Chad Owens who helped distribute turkeys.

Giving back is not foreign to Lynch. In his hometown of Oakland, he regularly holds food drives and community gatherings. His Fam 1st Family Foundation offers culinary training, music studio sessions, business programs and much more.

"Fam 1st Family Foundation is focused on the under served youth, aiming to build new generations of innovative thinkers to create solutions for the future of Oakland & the World," the nonprofit stated.

"The Fam 1st Family Foundation was established to ensure that youth from Oakland, California were provided with opportunities to expand their horizons through sports and family support services. Since the inception the Fam 1st Family has served youth around the world. Using sports as a metaphor for life emphasizing adaptability, resilience and determination."

As for Lynch's football career, that appears to be in the past. He last played in January for the Seattle Seahawks. However, he has show no interest in returning to the team after playing 13 seasons in the NFL. He finished with more than 10,000 yards, 85 touchdowns and Super Bowl ring. He was also included in the NFL Hall of Fame's 2010's team.

Moving forward, Lynch appears focusing on developing his nonprofit as it nears its tenth anniversary.
